Securitas, the security solutions partner with world-renowned technology and expertise, has signed the commitment letter for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and will begin the process of developing and validating targets, in order to reduce the Group’s climate impact.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the World Resources Institute, Worldwide Fund for Nature, and the UN Global Compact.

Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined path to reduce emissions, in line with the Paris Agreement goals, which is pursuing efforts to limit global warming to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels.
“As a leader in the industry, committing to the Science Based Targets initiative was the right next step for Securitas,” said Magnus Ahlqvist, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Securitas, adding “By reporting emissions to CDP for over 10 years and being a signatory to UN Global Compact since 2015, we have already shown that we take climate change seriously.”
