To meet the construction industry's demand for time-saving digital innovations, wireless solutions provider Ramtech has revealed the latest round of updates for its REACT cloud-based site protection platform.

Audio recording feature

In an ongoing commitment to research and development and improving its wireless safety and detection solutions, Ramtech has introduced a new audio recording feature on its REACT platform, which allows users to quickly raise an alert verbally and share details on an emergency, such as fire or water risk, as well as lone worker and medical support.

The new update, which is already being used by firms such as Laing O'Rourke and Turner Construction in the UK and USA respectively, will ensure that construction site managers have more ways to interact with the site safety system.

24/7 real-time notifications

John Newbury, product innovation director at Ramtech, said, “Designed to give 24/7 real-time notifications, ensuring critical information is sent to those on and off-site via a simple-to-use mobile app and desktop management interface, Ramtech's REACT has rapidly grown to become a staple for the construction industry worldwide."

"We are now pleased to be able to enhance this quality system with some great new features, including the ability to deliver audio messages.  Previously, text and images could be sent across the REACT network, but now the addition of audio recordings creates a whole new level of functionality."

Wireless and digital solutions

More than £200bn has been invested in engineering and construction-based software solutions"

After a slow start, the construction industry is now going through a massive transformation led by the adoption of technology. McKinsey analysis has revealed that more than £200bn has been invested in engineering and construction-based software solutions over the past decade, showing the appetite for technology like this."

"We’re excited that Ramtech is part of this transformation and has been delivering wireless and digital solutions to the construction industry for over 15 years."

Automatic 24/7 water leak detection

We’re always listening to the industries that we supply to and challenging ourselves on how we can develop technology that seamlessly provides a solution to problems while meeting varied safety requirements across the globe.”

The latest update to the REACT platform follows an extension introduced by Ramtech last month, which enables automatic 24/7 water leak detection on construction sites. In fact. over the past six months, the firm has continually updated its service offering as part of its ongoing quest to improve site safety worldwide.

Useful service updates

In August, the business revealed how its leading solutions, including REACT, would integrate with leading monitored security provider Immix, while simultaneously adding language support options for Norway, Holland, and Denmark.

Ramtech plans to add more useful service updates over the coming years as the construction industry continues to seek the benefits that digital technology can bring to improve site safety.

Addressing modern construction site needs

Andrew Swindells, senior health and safety manager at Laing O’Rourke, said, “Ramtech’s REACT platform is a permanent fixture on our sites now, such as Everton Football Club’s new stadium under construction at Bramley-Moore Dock, and gives the reassurance needed during projects with so many moving parts and personnel."

We’re pleased to hear that Ramtech is committed to continued updates so that we can stick with a system that works for us already while adapting to the needs of a modern construction site.”
