Resideo Technologies, Inc., a global provider of solutions for home comfort, security, and safety announced that it has completed the acquisition of Teknique, a pioneer in edge-based, artificial-intelligence-enabled video camera development and solutions.

Founded in 2004 and based in Auckland, New Zealand, Teknique’s platform enables computer vision solutions and edge artificial intelligence for global brands and Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries.

Next-gen video and sensor technology

"Resideo is focused on creating products that turn data into innovative solutions and the Oclea by Teknique platform will help lead Resideo into new applications with next-generation video and sensor technology," said Scott Ziffra, Senior Vice President, Engineering & Product Management at Resideo.

He adds, "With the acquisition, Resideo looks to advance our security video strategy, expand our video product portfolio and accelerate our focus on providing actionable intelligence for our customers.”
