SIA sponsored ISC West 2016 wraps up on 8 April, 2016
SIA Education@ISC West program with its security sessions & informative presentations of Connected Security Expo were also a huge success

Continuing the momentum that started on Day 1 of ISC West, sponsored by SIA, Day 2 once again saw heavy foot traffic as attendees descended on the Show Floor in large numbers to soak up as much information as possible from the 1,000+ exhibitors showing thousands of products. And just like Day 1, the crowded aisles continued right up until the show floor closed at 5 p.m.

Many attendees took advantage of a multitude of informative exhibitor demos, as well as the opportunity to discuss innovative products and technologies with technical and engineering experts. For exhibitors, these conversations provided valuable insight into customer wants and needs, which can be valuable in determining the course of product updates and new product development.

Feedback from exhibitors and vendors about ISC West 2016 has been overwhelmingly positive, which should come as no surprise given attendance numbers and the depth of the conversations taking place on and off the show floor.

“As usual, the number and quality of attendees at ISC West continues to amaze us. The announcement of our new name has been very well-received by the industry, as evidenced by the foot traffic in our booth, which is the best we’ve ever seen,” said Tom Cook, Vice President, Sales, Hanwha Techwin America.

“We are very happy with the interest and enthusiasm we've seen for our biometric access control and identity management solutions over the first two days of ISC West. Given the size of the show and the number and quality of attendees, this is an ideal place for us to introduce the industry to SRI Identity,” said Mark Clifton, President, Products and Solutions Division and Vice President, SRI International.

SIA Education@ISC West Program

Thursday was the third and final day of the lauded SIA Education@ISC West program, which once again saw large numbers of attendees for many of its sessions. The program featured sessions covering topics on almost every aspect of security and safety, including “Access Control Trends in the Education Sector” and “The Latest and Greatest in Open Space Video Surveillance: Multi-Sensor Camera Technology.” The day’s Signature Series Session, “If You Only Knew What Hackers Can Do,” provided insight into how organizations can use cyber intelligence to protect themselves from attacks.

Connected Security Expo

The second day of the Connected Security Expo @ ISC West was also a success, as attendees visited with exhibitors and took in a number of informative and insightful presentations held on the Innovation Stage in the lobby. In the Day 2 keynote, “The Future of Cyber Security,” Matthew Rosenquist of Intel Security outlined the future of cyber security, providing valuable insights around the challenges and opportunities for 2016, while also reviewing how to better address IT vulnerabilities.

Thursday morning’s Security 5K Run /2K Walk, held annually on the second day of ISC West, raised $95,000 to support Mission 500, an organization that supports children and communities in crisis.

ISC West 2016 wraps up on 8th April, 2016, with the show floor open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
