Colt Technology Services, the digital infrastructure company, announced it has been formally recognized as a Gold Google Verified Peering Provider. The prestigious accreditation was secured on the basis of its extensive global infrastructure and its deep experience with hyperscalers in delivering business-critical cloud services for enterprises.

Now, businesses can select Colt as a Verified Peering Provider to simplify and automate their enterprise-level access to Google resources such as Workspace and Cloud APIs. Colt owns the EMEA part of AS3356, the most peered global internet backbone according to CAIDA. AS3356 is interconnected with Google in 22 countries.

Direct Peering connections

Direct Peering connections are complex to manage and, unless run by experienced partners

Millions of enterprises around the world rely on Google resources hosted on Google Cloud to successfully and securely run their operations. They need reliable public connectivity to access these critical applications, at the same time requiring Direct Peering to connect with this public infrastructure. Direct Peering connections are complex to manage and, unless run by experienced partners, can be vulnerable to downtime.

Google’s Verified Peering Provider (VPP) program removes this complexity and risk for enterprises. Verified Peering Providers manage Direct Peering with Google over dedicated private connectivity, with redundancy requirements for each enrolled provider. Google customers can choose the Verified Peering Provider that works best for them, with the knowledge that when they connect to a Verified Peering Provider to reach Google, they are selecting a provider that has verified diverse, powerful, and reliable connectivity to Google.

Roles in the Digital Universe

Peter Coppens, VP – Infrastructure and Connectivity Solutions, Colt Technology Services said, “Businesses must be empowered with choice to successfully secure their roles in the digital universe, but too often they’re held back by limited choice and barriers to progress."

"The Google Verified Peering Provider program breaks down these barriers, partnering with pioneering providers such as Colt to simplify access to the amazing set of Google resources. For Colt, securing this certification recognizes our deep commitment to the customer experience and to our pioneering digital infrastructure.”
