The chosen BCDVideo NVR allowed the QSG team to integrate the Nova Series 1U rack-mounted NVR with 12TB storage seamlessly into the existing Milestone Corporate platform
QSG used the BCDVideo equipment for an estate security solution as part of a larger project for a UK police force

Quadrant Security Group Ltd (QSG) has become the first integrator in the UK to use equipment from BCDVideo, the US-based manufacturer of purpose-built Internet Protocol (IP) video recording servers.

The highly resilient equipment was used for an estate security solution as part of a larger project for a UK police force, where a high quality and resilient solution was needed which adhered to clear budget constraints.

The chosen BCDVideo NVR is an open platform solution and certified for the video management system used by the force. This allowed the team at QSG to integrate the Nova Series 1U rack-mounted NVR with 12TB storage seamlessly into the existing Milestone Corporate platform.

Jeff Burgess, CEO at BCDVideo, said: “It’s great to be recognized by a UK integrator as renowned as QSG – we value acceptance from the integrator community in the UK. It’s a highly sophisticated market with plenty of great domestic equipment manufacturers and we’re looking forward to continuing our growth in this important marketplace.”

Aaron Plant, Sector Lead - Blue Light at QSG, said: “BCDVideo is a highly regarded manufacturer in the US with a wide range of quality products. We’ve been particularly impressed with the “entry-level” end of their offering, where their small, neat yet resilient NVRs are the perfect addition to our equipment toolbox. It was the perfect piece of kit for our recent perimeter project with a police force. It enabled us to install a highly reliable, quality solution that wasn’t over-engineered for the purpose and that allows the client to make the transition from their ageing, existing analog camera estate to new IP cameras over time.”
