Eneo Launches New Product Generation With H.264

The new GL Generation has been boosted with the H.264 codec and can now apply dual streaming technology for simultaneous transmission and archiving of two fully independent video streams - each with its own configuration and different transmission rates, resolution and quality - in H.264 and MJPEG. This allows flexible utilisation of the varying bandwidths in networks as well as the available memory. The GL Series product range comprises IP Domes and Box Cameras, Servers and Encoders as well as the free GL CMS Manager Video Management Software.

Noise suppression and a horizontal image resolution of 540 TV lines allow the latest GL Generation Dome and Box Network Cameras to produce first-class image quality. Fitted with a 1/3" Super HAD CCD Sensor and integral motion detector, the cameras deliver a transfer rate of 25 fps over all resolution levels.

The compatible GL Series Network Video Servers are offered as a Box Type solution or alternatively as an Encoder Board. The bofard is sized only 42x42x25 millimetres with equal network capability to the Box Type version. Both are a 1-channel video server with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and an integral web server accessible from a standard browser. The maximum image resolution (D1) is 720x576 pixels. Both servers offer multilevel password protection, an IP filter (access rights only for defined IP addresses) or HTTPS (data encryption). Management software compatibility is given by Symphony from Aimetis, Zelaris IP from eneo, Observer from NetAvis, Milestone XProtect Corporate as well as GL CMS Manager from eneo.

The free viewer and management software GL CMS Manager from eneo simultaneously receives and stores up to 16 video sources, it features event triggered recording options as well as automatic alarm image display.

By the way, GL product family adaptation to the new ONVIF standard will be phased in from early next year.
