ZeroEyes, developers of the advanced AI weapon detection and threat intelligence system, have announced its deployment in New Jersey’s Sayreville Borough School District. This initiative is aimed at enhancing security and preventing gun-related incidents in schools, thereby safeguarding students and faculty.
The district, situated in Middlesex County, supports around 6,500 students and employs about 750 staff members across 10 facilities. These include various educational establishments such as a high school, a middle school, an upper elementary school, several K–3 elementary schools, dual preschools, and a unique 18–21 program with its own public store and café designed for job training purposes. With an emphasis on community collaboration, the district prioritizes staying ahead through proactive security measures.
Incident Management Software
ZeroEyes aims to fortify the district’s extensive security plan by integrating with Singlewire’s InformaCast incident management software. This partnership allows real-time alerts for detected gun threats to automatically activate InformaCast's system, thus dispatching tailored alerts to a multitude of devices. This integration supports quicker and more coordinated emergency responses, ensuring that essential information rapidly reaches key personnel.

The ZeroEyes AI system layers over existing surveillance cameras to perform gun detection. If a weapon is detected, images are immediately sent to the ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), noted for being the sole fully in-house U.S.-based operation center.
Staffed continuously throughout the year by veterans from the military and law enforcement, ZOC experts assess potential threats. Should a threat be validated, alerts containing critical details like visual descriptions, gun types, and last known locations are conveyed to law enforcement and school security within 3 to 5 seconds of detection.
