IDIS, a surveillance manufacturer, announced the successful integration of its range of DirectIP NVRs with the British manufactured Redvision X-SERIES of ruggedized pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras.

Unveiled at Intersec 2017 on IDIS stand S1-F26, the integration allows for simple plug-and-play set-up and features real-time full HD video at 25 frames per second (fps) with no visible latency, smooth PTZ controls, wiper on and off functionality, and seamless full HD recording all controlled directly from the IDIS NVR or through IDIS Center, totally cost free video management software.

X-SERIES Ruggedized PTZ Cameras

Speaking at the show, Billy Hopkins, Technical Manager, IDIS Europe, said, “It’s great to showcase a new integration and technology at Intersec that brings the entire security buying chain under one roof. In addition, the Redvision X-SERIES is ideally suited to tough, outdoor conditions, which are commonplace in most countries across the Middle East that experience extreme weather conditions.”

“The X-SERIES has options for infrared (IR) or dual light (combined IR and white light) illumination and has built-in, ultra-efficient LEDs. Night time IR illumination is effective up to 150 meters and white light effective up to 120 metres with both providing facial recognition up to 40 meters. The IR lighting allows covert operation, while the white light option produces usable color images at night and acts as an overt, visible warning to intruders.’’

“DirectIP NVRs offer customers a cost effective and simple to use recording platform for the X-SERIES within the IDIS IP range”

DirectIP Network Video Recorder

Dermot Grace, Managing Director of Redvision, added, “Redvision manufactures the X-SERIES rugged PTZ and dome CCTV camera range in the UK, with options for 20x and 30x zoom; full HD IP or analog video; IR and white-light LED illuminators for low-light; and a flat glass camera window, with wiper. Low power consumption reduces cost of ownership. DirectIP NVRs offer customers a cost effective and simple to use recording platform for the X-SERIES within the IDIS IP range.”

“IDIS is recognized as a true global player having launched its brand business and set up headquarters across three continents, so this is an exciting new partnership for Redvision and we look forward to building upon our relationship and meeting the technology and surveillance requirements of both of our customers.”

Visitors to Intersec can see the IDIS and Redvision integration in action on stand S1-F26 throughout Intersec on 22-24 January 2017.
