Calipsa, a provider of deep-learning powered video analytics for false alarm reduction, announces the promotion of a Regional Sales Director and the appointment of two Business Development Managers as the company continues its expansion in the Americas.

Tara Biglari was promoted to Regional Sales Director, Americas. She joined Calipsa in 2017 as a Sales Associate in the United Kingdom. Since 2020, she has focused solely on business development in the Americas, forming relationships with Latin American industry representative companies enabling Calipsa to expand its client base.

Accelerating business growth

Biglari, a Maryland native, received a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Edinburgh. “Watching our team grow over the past few years has been a joy,” she said. “I’m excited about my increased responsibilities to help us continue our growth throughout the Americas.” Francisco Espinosa is a new Calipsa Business Development Manager. Previously, as Director of Monitoring Operations, he oversaw a team of 140 people monitoring more than 300 customer sites for Totem, Ecuador’s video monitoring center, and a Calipsa client.

Andrew Gyimesi is Calipsa’s new Business Development Manager with responsibility for North America. Previously, Gyimesi was a Senior Sales Development Representative for memoryBlue, a Virginia-based sales development consulting firm helping a wide range of high-tech clients accelerate new business growth.

Calipsa’s technology uses artificial intelligence with deep learning technology to recognize genuine alarms caused by human or vehicle movement while filtering out notifications resulting from nuisance factors such as animals, lighting, weather, or foliage. The result is the elimination of more than 90% of false alarms. The software is easily scalable, making it ideal for any growing monitoring station and enterprise customer business.
