Congratulations to VIDA, Wavestore’s partner in Spain, for winning the MOBOTIX 2013 Project of the Year award. The complete project will involve a total of 40,000 cameras, the images from which are being recorded on some 1,500 servers equipped with Wavestore’s video management software (VMS).
All elements of the system are SNMP monitored with onsite alarm events triggering the transmission of corresponding video clips to a central monitoring station for instantaneous review and action. The system’s IP network based architecture minimizes the total cost of ownership by, for example, providing the opportunity for any firmware upgrades to be remotely installed, negating the need for engineers to visit each site.
“We congratulate VIDA on winning this prestigious award,” said Chris Williams, Director of Wavestore. “We also thank them for playing a key role in helping Wavestore win a contract that has resulted in us working closely with MOBOTIX on what is surely the largest video surveillance project undertaken in Europe during 2013.”
