This deal involves transferring the wholesale and marketing functions for i-PRO products currently managed by Panasonic Connect to i-PRO itself. The formal transition is planned for completion by March 31, 2026, pending necessary regulatory approvals.

i-PRO gained independence from Panasonic in 2019 through a partnership with Polaris Capital Group Co., Ltd. Since then, the company has dedicated itself to the innovation and manufacture of cutting-edge security technologies, utilizing Panasonic Connect for sales within Japan.

With this new arrangement, i-PRO intends to enhance its sales infrastructure by consolidating the roles of development, manufacturing, and sales. This restructuring aims to heighten the company's responsiveness to market demands, optimize efficiency, and strengthen its competitive position in Japan, aligning with the global regional integration strategy launched in 2019.

Direct Dealings Post-2026

Starting April 1, 2026, approximately 500 dealers who currently acquire i-PRO products through Panasonic Connect will instead engage directly with i-PRO. Existing contracts with end-users who purchase through Panasonic Connect or Electric Works Company (part of Panasonic Corporation) are set to remain unaltered.
