IDIS has unveiled two cutting-edge PTZ cameras that combine powerful AI capabilities with near-infrared (NIR) technology to enhance surveillance performance.
These new models expand the range of PTZ options available for efficiently monitoring open areas across various applications such as public and communal spaces, commercial offices, educational institutions, logistics centers, retail environments, and perimeter security.
NDAA-Compliant Surveillance Solutions
The latest additions from South Korea's leading surveillance manufacturer, IDIS, include the NDAA-compliant 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA and the Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA).
These models complement IDIS’s existing lineup of Edge AI Plus 8MP and 6MP cameras. Designed to enhance surveillance efficiency in diverse settings, the new cameras incorporate advanced features for improved security.
AI-Powered Features and Deep Learning Analytics
Once a target is spotted, the PTZ system locks on and tracks it, automatically adjusting its zoom and angle
Each PTZ camera is equipped with IDIS Deep Learning Analytics (IDLA), supported by IDIS’s proprietary Deep Learning Engine. This technology aids operators in crowded control rooms by enhancing the precision of activity and event monitoring. It features AI auto-tracking capabilities that can autonomously identify and categorize objects in real time, distinguishing between humans, vehicles, and other non-relevant elements like shadows or animals.
Once a target is spotted, the PTZ system locks on and tracks it, automatically adjusting its zoom and angle. Operators can trigger tracking via events or manually through client software, with multi-camera coordination allowing uninterrupted target tracking across different scenes.
Enhanced Surveillance with Electronic Image Stabilization
In addition to object detection, intruder alerts, and loitering surveillance, IDIS AI PTZs offer high accuracy in differentiating among various objects, such as humans and vehicles.
These cameras provide two-way audio functionality and utilize metadata to minimize false alarms, thereby enhancing the efficiency of investigations and evidence collection. The cameras also support rapid incident responses and proactive threat deterrence.
Both camera models are equipped with IDIS’s Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) to minimize blurring and maintain high image quality, even during dynamic pan-and-tilt operations. IDIS Smart Failover ensures uninterrupted recording in the event of network disruptions, safeguarding data integrity.
Rugged Design and Versatile Applications
The compact Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) offers NIR capabilities up to 100 meters
The 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA is built for outdoor use, with NIR night vision reaching up to 400 meters. Its robust design includes IK10 vandal resistance and IP66 environmental ratings, making it suitable for use in demanding commercial and industrial settings, as well as outdoor perimeter and public surveillance applications.
The compact Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) offers NIR capabilities up to 100 meters. Its sleek, discreet profile facilitates installation in areas with spatial constraints, and is particularly effective in environments with challenging lighting conditions, delivering top-tier AI-driven pan, tilt, and zoom performance.
Seamless Installation with DirectIP® Technology
Jun-Kyung Sung, Head of the Product Planning Team at IDIS, commented, "Our expanded AI PTZ line-up makes it easier than ever to design video surveillance solutions that provide outstanding performance in the widest range of settings. And with advanced analytics including auto-tracking, targets can be kept under surveillance, and their movements automatically followed, even at the busiest moments."
Featuring IDIS DirectIP® technology, both cameras offer hassle-free setup with automatic device configuration and one-click connection functionality. This simplifies cybersecurity measures during both installation and ongoing maintenance, enhancing the overall user experience.
