ASSA ABLOY has announced the acquisition of Metal Products Inc. (MPI), a US-based company renowned for producing custom-made hollow metal doors and frames.
This move aligns with ASSA ABLOY's strategy to enhance its market presence by integrating complementary products and solutions into its core business.
Strategic Expansion in the US Market

Background and Financial Impact
Founded in 1980, MPI employs approximately 170 people and operates its main office and factory out of Corbin, Kentucky. The company reported sales of around $22 million for 2024, showing a strong EBIT margin.
The acquisition is expected to have a positive effect on ASSA ABLOY's earnings per share from the outset.
