Genetec Inc. has unveiled Genetec Cloudrunner™ Mobile, an app designed to complement the company's vehicle-centric investigation system, Cloudrunner.

This new mobile application aims to bring Genetec's investigative capabilities into the field, offering law enforcement and security professionals seamless access to crucial vehicle data and alerts while on the move.

Cloudrunner harnesses the power of automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) combined with sophisticated analytics to collect and organize vehicle-related information. Securely managed in the cloud, this evidence allows authorized users to efficiently search, filter, and correlate data to support their investigations. Adhering to privacy-by-design principles, Cloudrunner ensures data is encrypted, access is restricted, and information is retained based on institutional policies, giving customers complete control over their data.

Cloudrunner Mobile Features

The new Cloudrunner Mobile app enhances convenience and security for users through features like biometric authentication for secure login. It enables users to conduct vehicle searches, manage alerts, and maintain hotlists directly from their mobile devices.

Searches can be refined by various vehicle attributes, including make, model, color, or plate number, and can be geographically narrowed based on the user's current location. This geo-localized function allows enhanced precision in targeting specific cameras or areas of interest.

Users also have the option to pause these notifications when off-duty, with recent activities recorded for future review within the app's alerts section.

Among the initial users of Cloudrunner Mobile is the Hopkins, Minnesota Police Department.

Cloudrunner Mobile is now available to existing Genetec Cloudrunner customers in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
