At the heart of our intelligent key and access management solutions is the Traka iFob. These clever devices are IP 67 rated and have a unique electronic ID which plays a vital role in controlling and monitoring assets and access, while compiling detailed audit trails. The chip inside the iFob stores a complete history of that particular key. This robust nickel plated brass tube known as the iFob is waterproof and dust resistant. Key Features of this Technology Include:
- Real-time tracking – Staff can view the live status of all keys, and which co-workers are in possession of which keys
- Curfew alerts – Curfews can be triggered to notify when a key has not been returned by a specific designated time
- Historical data – Should an asset become damaged, its previous users can be easily identified
- Quarantine – Keys that secure damaged assets can also be locked down remotely
Traka Key Cabinets can be customized with multiple access control methods, from simple integration with pre-existing ID cards (including proximity and magstripe) to biometrics. Fingerprint readers, for example, stop a key from being accessed via a lost or stolen ID card.
