Data collected through the IoT and smart phones were sent to cloud platforms and used for AI, leading to drastic industrial changes. These industrial changes have been dubbed the "Fourth Industrial Revolution", Industry 4.0.

For the physical security industry, which handles access control and video surveillance via IT systems, security has always been accompanied by inconvenience and inefficiency.
