The recent acquisition of VXG builds on a collaboration initiated in June 2025, when Hexagon introduced a cloud-based video management platform leveraging VXG's technology. This merger provides Octave with comprehensive control over its technological infrastructure, facilitating future portfolio integrations and product innovations.
"VXG’s cloud-based video management system gives Octave an immediate advantage and supports our cloud roadmap," stated Octave CEO Mattias Stenberg. "Its AI-driven design aligns with our vision of intelligence at scale. The acquisition expands our hybrid deployment options — cloud, edge, and on-premises — positioning Octave to lead the shift to cloud-first solutions."
Leadership Continuity and Future Prospects
The leadership team at VXG, under the direction of CEO Yaro Lisitsyn, will continue with the company, focusing on further development of the cloud roadmap and maintaining stability for customers and partners. VXG's financial performance in 2025 included revenues of approximately USD $1 million, and it will be integrated into Octave's Protect workflow environment by May 2026.
