Gallagher Security, a global manufacturer in the security sector, has officially announced that its latest product, the High Security Controller 7000, has achieved NPSA compliance.
This controller, which extends the company's award-winning controller range, has been certified for both Automatic Access Control Systems (AACS) and Cyber Assurance of Physical Security Systems (CAPSS) by the UK's National Protective Security Authority (NPSA).
Advanced Features of High Security C7000
The High Security C7000 integrates the core functions of the existing C7000 Standard variant while augmenting its cybersecurity features to enhance reliability, resilience, and redundancy. The device ensures adherence to top security standards recognized by the Five Eyes Alliance countries, reassuring users of its future-ready compliance.
It includes a FIPS-approved microprocessor and sophisticated cybersecurity measures. The controller enforces security policies set within the Command Centre and communicates with sensors, alarm terminals, and readers using authenticated and encrypted protocols.
Adapting to Evolving Security Needs
The controller has been tested against government standards and includes FIPS 140-3 compliant Jason Hunter, High Security Manager UKI, highlighted the controller's ability to meet the dynamic cybersecurity demands of today's market. According to Hunter, there is growing interest from enterprise organizations seeking certified solutions for critical national infrastructure.
"These are not necessarily for government sites, but also commercial enterprises seeking to mitigate risk to ensure business continuity. These customers are wanting devices that are designed with that extra level of security – they want to get ahead of emerging threats," he quoted.
Delivering Cyber Assurance
Gallagher Security's High Security Value Stream Lead, Daniel McVeagh, emphasized the enhanced cyber assurance provided by the C7000. He stated, "While the Controller 7000 Standard already has excellent cybersecurity functionality, the High Security C7000 goes a step further, with bolder government and commercial applications firmly in mind."

Functional Capabilities
The C7000 series, including the High Security variant, delivers robust protection against firmware attacks within the supply chain, providing a forward-thinking platform for end users. As IP-based controllers, they manage localized access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation, and logic operations within an organization.
Capable of independent operation from the Command Centre server, this product line offers a scalable design, supporting systems from one-door operations to extensive networks managing up to 10,000 controllers per server.
Global security manufacturer, Gallagher Security, has announced NPSA compliance for the High Security Controller 7000, the most recent addition to their award-winning controller product range.

High Security C7000 features
Providing customers with the confidence that Gallagher will continue to meet the highest standards of countries in the Five Eyes Alliance and ensure they’re meeting compliances with future-proofed confidence, the High Security C7000 incorporates all the core functions of the award-winning C7000 Standard variant and expands cybersecurity capabilities in key areas to deliver enhanced reliability, resilience, and redundancy.
With a Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS)-approved micro and cybersecurity at the heart, the High Security Controller 7000 enforces security policy set in Command Centre and reports on local security events, with authenticated and encrypted communications to connected sensors, alarm terminals, and readers.
Evolving as per the cybercsecurity needs
Jason Hunter, High Security Manager UKI, says the new controller has been designed not just for traditional high security sites, but to meet the changing cybersecurity needs of today’s economy.
“We’re increasingly seeing an appetite from enterprise organizations who need solutions that are certified to be used on critical national infrastructure,” he says.
