Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has appointed security industry veteran Alex Mathieson as Regional Sales Manager, Latin America. Mathieson joins the company with a quarter century of experience in domestic and international sales. He has extensive experience in security, economics and business practices throughout Latin America.

“I am delighted to be joining Arecont Vision, the leader in multi-megapixel camera technology,” said Mathieson. “The Latin America market is now ready for the transition away from analog and standard definition video security solutions. There is a very strong value proposition and terrific Return on Investment (ROI) that systems integrators, dealers and distributors can now deliver to their customers.”

Prior to joining Arecont Vision, Mathieson was the Regional Sales Manager for Latin America with Pelco/Schneider Electric for 10 years and was instrumental in developing the Pelco brand throughout Latin America.  His management experience also includes Business Development with Sensormatic Electronic/TYCO Fire and Security and ADT North America and Latin America Commercial/Industrial operations. Mathieson has a Masters of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Miami, Florida.
