Dedicated Micros has announced that the feature-packed 16-channel model from its SD Range of Digital Video Recorders has received an extremely positive review in an in-depth bench testCCTV specialist Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - has announced that the feature-packed 16-channel model from its SD Range of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) has received an extremely positive review in an in-depth Bench Test which has just been published by UK magazine Security Installer.

The review, entitled 'Instantly Likeable', which features in Security Installer's July edition, was conducted by independent testers and sees the SD DVR - which is targeted at small to medium sized applications - come in for particular praise in terms of its 'Range and Variety of Functions' with a maximum possible five out of five 'Outstanding' rating.  There is also positive feedback in other categories ranging from 'Ease of Installation and Wiring' to 'Value for Money' - all achieving a 'Very Good' rating.

According to the Bench Test conclusions, "the SD is slick and instantly likeable for its straightforward controls, easy to use menus, and crisp, clean recording quality".

The review also noted that the SD "ably demonstrates that you don't need a degree in computer science to set up and use a sophisticated and very well specified DVR".

Said Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros, "This impartial review of the SD in Security Installer magazine is very encouraging, especially as it is the result of an extremely detailed test process.  The favourable Bench Test reinforces our belief in the capabilities of the system and backs-up the feedback we have been receiving from installers on the ground who are selecting the SD, as part of their NetVu Connected CCTV solutions, in ever growing numbers."
