Bosch Hybrid CCTV Integration Software

Product Profile

At this year’s ASIS exhibition in Orlando, Florida, Bosch Security Systems presented its new VASA (Virtual Allegiant Satellite Application) software developed to provide easy and cost-effective migration from analog to IP technology.  VASA, part of the SFT-INTSRV package, fully integrates existing analog components with new IP-based components to provide a comprehensive view of hybrid system.  The solution is therefore ideal for companies intending to migrate to the latest digital technology while protecting their initial analog investment.  VASA also supports systems solely employing IP-based CCTV systems.  VASA is completely transparent to the end user.  Users can continue working with their familiar analog system structure, such as a CCTV keyboard and joystick, while gradually migrating to a digital IP-based system incorporating standard PCs.  Since the original operating structure is maintained, the system also helps to save money by eliminating the need to train users on a new system.  This new integration software helps replace costly dedicated analog video lines with more efficient digital technology.  A single cable in an IP system can carry hundreds of video, audio, and relay output lines as well as pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) controls and alarm inputs for simplified and cost-effective system expansion and management.  VASA also supports remote PTZ functions and encoder relay activation.
  • Cost-effective integration of analog CCTV components with new IP-based components
  • Allows for easy and gradual migration path to IP-based systems
  • Preserves initial investment in analog components
  • No costly retraining of operators needed
  • Supports remote PTZ functions and encoder relay activation
