This initiative aims to enhance the district's multi-layered safety measures against the threat of gun-related violence.
Thornton Township High School District 205 provides education to more than 5,500 students and employs nearly 300 staff across three high schools: Thornridge in Dolton, Thornton in Harvey, and Thornwood in South Holland. The district is dedicated to fostering intellectual growth and preparing students for future academic and professional endeavors. Alongside ZeroEyes, the schools also utilize metal detectors, on-site security officers, and widespread security cameras.

ZeroEyes' AI gun detection and intelligent situational awareness software integrates with existing security cameras. When a firearm is identified, images are immediately forwarded to the ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), the sole U.S.-based in-house operation center in the industry, which is manned continuously by U.S. military and law enforcement veterans.
Rapid Threat Identification
Once a threat is confirmed by these experts, they promptly send out alerts and actionable intelligence, including a visual description, gun type, and last known location, to both law enforcement and school security personnel, often just seconds after the initial detection.
