Vigitron, Inc, the manufacturer of networking products for security applications, announces the release of their SysCap, Syslog information capture program.
The program captures information from devices with Syslog capability which is found in almost every managed network switch. Captured information is displayed in a log which can be saved to Clip Board, Excel, or Word programs. SysCap can run in a minimised mode to alert operations of problems when they occur.
Health monitoring software
SysCap is part of Vigitron’s continuing effort to help monitor network health conditions, stated Neil Heller, Vice President of Business Development. “Syslog is a simple method for communicating network status and health compared to other methods such as SNMP. Syslog communications are universal and only require a simple setup from the device providing them. SysCap is a Free Utility. The program joins our popular NetObserver™ and NeTester™ network health monitoring software.”
