Chip Kruger and Matt Kopel, Co-CEOs of SwiftConnect, highlighted that this acquisition aligns with their vision for a unified, mobile-centric identity system. They emphasized, “HID SAFE platforms are best-in-class, trusted by some of the world’s most security-conscious organizations, and bringing them together with SwiftConnect’s access network completes a story we’ve been building toward.” The transaction further solidifies a strategic relationship that began with HID's investment in SwiftConnect's Series B funding round, reinforcing both parties' commitment to advancing identity technology.
As part of the transfer agreement, HID will gain additional equity in SwiftConnect, resulting in a minority, non-controlling stake, illustrating ongoing confidence in SwiftConnect's future. SwiftConnect will remain independently managed and guided by its current leadership and shareholders. The transaction is expected to conclude in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
