Hanwha Vision America

Hanwha Techwin America, a global supplier of IP and analog video surveillance solutions, has announced the immediate availability of its latest multi-sensor cameras. The new cameras feature motorized varifocal lenses for precise control of focal length, angle of view and zoom for each direction. Each sensor supports remote PTRZ (pan, tilt, rotate, zoom) control for efficient installation and easy adjustment.

The latest 2MP PNM-9084RQZ and 5MP PNM-9085RQZ IP PTRZ cameras feature built-in IR illumination for each sensor, while the 2MP PNM-9084QZ is also a compact and cost-efficient four channel PTRZ camera.

IP PTRZ cameras

Focused on cost savings for both installers and end users, multi-sensor cameras use less cable, conduit and mounting hardware and require fewer ports on the switch and VMS licenses due to their single IP connection.

Unlike fisheye lenses, multi-sensor cameras have more pixels focused in each direction with a broad range of customizable angles and zoom settings per lens. All sensors feature up to 60fps per channel for smooth motion capture and up to 150dB WDR (wide dynamic range) for enhanced image quality and a suite of license-free onboard analytics powered by Hanwha’s Wisenet 5 chipset.

Multi-Sensor cameras

Our multi-sensor cameras enable operators to choose from a broad range of customizable angles and zoom settings per sensor and offer cost savings for both system integrators and end users,” said Ray Cooke, Vice President - Products, Solutions, and Integration, Hanwha Techwin America. He adds, “The PTRZ varifocal lenses make installation adjustment more efficient than ever and also enable easy to view adjustments after installation. Plus with WiseStream II compression technology and H.265, users enjoy reduced bandwidth and lower storage costs.

The new Hanwha Techwin multi-directional camera models include:

  • PNM-9084QZ: 2MP x 4ch, 3~6mm motorized PTRZ varifocal lenses
  • PNM-9084RQZ: 2MP x 4ch, IR, 3.2~10mm (3.1x) motorized PTRZ varifocal lenses
