Milestone Systems, a world pioneer in data-driven video technology, announced the launch of the AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect; a new all-in-one-solution now available on Milestone’s open platform video management system, XProtect.
The integration brings together access control and video surveillance directly within the XProtect Smart Client user interface and helps streamline operations and improve real-time decision-making.

AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect will be available to install and update along with AXIS Optimizer through XProtect Update Manager, and Axis will be the first third-party software that can be installed via XProtect Update Manager.
The new integration will be showcased at the Global Security Exchange, GSX, 2025, from September 29 to October 1, in Milestone booth 719, New Orleans, LA.

AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect enables users to monitor, assist and investigate door entry activities, automate door entry events, review live or recorded video, and much more from the XProtect interface. By uniting access control and video surveillance inside XProtect Smart Client, operators no longer need to switch between separate interfaces.
Instead, they can monitor and control door activity from a single, intuitive view. This helps them stay aware of situations as they happen and ensures they make decisions that are more informed, better coordinated, and executed in a timely manner.

It links cameras to doors, allowing operators to monitor video and door entry events and compare cardholder images with live or recorded video.
It can be used to manage up to 1,000 doors per server, 64 servers in a multi-server system, and up to 50,000 credentials.
Easy management of door entry and intercom calls
Users also benefit from additional capabilities, with everything available in and optimized for XProtect. For instance, it includes automation of door entry events using XProtect Rules Engine, Smart Client-based vehicle access control, and easy management of door entry and intercom calls.
AXIS Optimizer also unites video surveillance with AI-powered data analysis, forensic search, audio, body-worn, digital evidence, and more.
