Nutanix, a pioneer in hybrid multicloud computing, announced it has been positioned as a pioneer in The Forrester Wave: Multicloud Container Platforms, Q3 2025. This is Nutanix’s first appearance in the report following last year’s unveiling of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) at Nutanix’s NEXT conference.
The launch of NKP followed Nutanix’s acquisition of D2iQ, Inc.’s Kubernetes Platform, enabling the company to provide customers with a comprehensive solution for managing cloud native applications across diverse environments.
Cloud Native AOS solution
Earlier this year, Nutanix also introduced its Cloud Native AOS solution
Earlier this year, Nutanix also introduced its Cloud Native AOS solution, extending enterprise storage and advanced data services to hyperscaler Kubernetes services and cloud native bare metal environments, without needing a hypervisor. Cloud Native AOS is now available worldwide.
According to the Forrester report:
“Nutanix revitalized its Kubernetes efforts by empowering D2iQ’s leadership and funding integrations, resulting in a unified enterprise platform spanning data center, cloud, and edge. VMware users can shift virtual machines (VMs) to Nutanix AHV and modernize with containers via NKP (formerly D2iQ), which powers Nutanix Data Services for Kubernetes and ties into its AI stack. Its supporting services and partner ecosystem are notably mature, and its roadmap is a detailed account of how cloud native tech from D2iQ dovetails with the wider Nutanix approach.”
Multicloud container management
Lee Caswell, Senior Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing at Nutanix, commented: “Nutanix has debuted as a leader for one of our newest offerings designed to support cloud native application environments and multicloud container management.”
He adds, “Customers can achieve success in their cloud native initiatives by using Nutanix’s open, multicloud approach to modular enterprise Kubernetes platforms — designed with developer choice in mind. With NKP, organizations can run their modern containerized applications anywhere and have them managed consistently.”
Cloud native stack
NKP customers can innovate more swiftly using a complete, CNCF compliant cloud native stack that provides platform engineering teams with a consistent operating model for securely managing Kubernetes clusters across on-premises, hybrid, and public cloud environments.
NKP reduces operational complexity, simplifies monitoring, and supports container management at scale. Nutanix already supports NKP customers around the globe, with one such customer featured in the accompanying video.
