The recent collaboration between Eplan and CADENAS aims to enhance the availability of technical device data through the Eplan Data Portal. This partnership was officially established during the SPS event in Nuremberg, Germany, where Eplan Managing Director, Haluk Menderes and CADENAS Managing Director, Terry Jonen formalized their agreement on November 26, 2025.
Through this partnership, Eplan and CADENAS will create a direct interface between the Eplan Data Portal and the CADENAS platform, 3Dfindit, with the goal of facilitating easier access to comprehensive device data for Eplan users.
Menderes highlighted the significance of this development, explaining that CADENAS will significantly enhance the range of device data with additional validated content. This expansion is particularly relevant for complex configurations, such as those found in the energy sector.
Enhanced Connectivity for Users
During the SPS event, the technology partnership between Eplan and CADENAS was announced as a major advancement for Eplan users, enabling them to more easily locate the necessary device data. Haluk Menderes from Eplan expressed confidence in CADENAS as a partner that will considerably extend the device data range on the Eplan Data Portal.
CADENAS Managing Director, Terry Jonen emphasized the collaboration's importance by stating, "With the planned connection of 3Dfindit to the Eplan Data Portal, we’re making it easier for engineers to access precise, up-to-date product data and are thereby increasing the added value for our common customers."
Value for Design Engineers
Eplan and CADENAS will jointly develop an interface accessible via the Eplan Data Portal
A critical aspect of this collaboration is the substantial benefit to design engineers who rely on digital device data for efficient project planning and data consistency throughout the engineering process. Eplan and CADENAS will jointly develop an interface accessible via the Eplan Data Portal, integrating directly with the Eplan cloud.
Both companies plan to closely collaborate with component manufacturers and maintain an ongoing dialogue to refine the interface, thereby increasing data consistency and offering expanded design options for engineers.
Increased Data Depth and Consistency
With the signing of the agreement, Eplan and CADENAS have initiated the technical implementation phase. Over the upcoming months, technical working groups will be formed to outline specific measures to progressively expand this cooperation.
The ultimate objective is to deliver validated added value across the value chain, particularly benefiting industries, such as energy by enhancing data depth and consistency for Eplan users.
