ELK Products has introduced the AEXCELL series of cellular communicators for the Alarm Engine E27. The aim is to provide dealers with reliable cellular connectivity and comprehensive panel access while helping them lower service costs.
Unlike many other platforms, the AEXCELL cellular connectivity is incorporated into ELK's existing ElkConnect interactive service for $3 per month, negating the need for additional monthly fees.
AEXCELL Modules Streamline Installation and Management
The ELK-AEXCELLA (AT&T) and ELK-AEXCELLV (Verizon) modules are designed for easy integration, connecting directly to the E27 control’s RS485 bus with auto-enrollment for quick setup. ElkConnect manages cellular service activation, offering installers a unified dashboard for system access, activation, and billing.

In scenarios where the IP connection is the primary communication method, AEXCELL acts as a cellular backup to LAN or Wi-Fi.
This feature becomes crucial if the internet connection is disrupted. Additionally, it can function as a standalone cellular communicator, which aids dealers in managing installations that do not have an IP connection and eliminates network configuration complications.
Showcase at ISC West
Attendees at ISC West in Las Vegas can view the AEXCELL cellular communicators in action at the ELK Products booth (#8032) from March 25–27. The modules are compatible with Alarm Engine E27 systems operating on firmware version 0.6.2 or later.

Unlike many competing platforms that charge separate cellular service fees, AEXCELL cellular connectivity is included as part of ELK’s existing $3 per month ElkConnect interactive service. This allows dealers to add cellular communication and maintain a full IP connection with the panel without paying additional service providers, helping reduce monthly service costs and improve their recurring revenue.
