Demand for accurate facial recognition software continues to increase. A typical way in which the two software platforms could interact would be when Herta Security’s facial recognition software detects and matches a face to an image previously captured and stored on a database of known offenders. When this occurs, the image of the matched face is time/date stamped and immediately stored by Wavstore’s VMS software alongside the relevant recorded video of the person entering the store. At the same time an alarm is generated which alerts security personnel that an unwanted visitor may have entered, for example, a retail store. A combined Wavestore and Herta solution can however be used in many other different ways, including access control, in that the solution can be configured to only generate an alarm when a face is not recognized as belonging to someone who is authorized to be in a restricted area.
