Through a new joint technology agreement with OnSSI, BCDVideo (Northbrook, IL) is launching the new EVO Appliance Series. Purpose-built specifically to deliver the functionality of OnSSI’s Ocularis Video Management System (VMS), the EVO Series provides a cost-efficient turnkey video surveillance solution ideal for small and medium business applications.

For stand-alone sites or organizations with multiple locations requiring central monitoring, the EVO Series is designed to upgrade or replace DVRs with added performance and value.

“By simplifying the path to higher video surveillance functionality for a wider range of end-users, OnSSI and BCDVideo are working together to meet the evolving needs of the security market,” said Ken LaMarca, Vice President, OnSSI. “Together we have developed an integrated plug-and-play video surveillance management and recording solution that delivers best-in-breed technology for smaller system and distributed system applications.”

“We are pleased to join OnSSI in this technology partnership to bring the Ocularis PS video and event platform to a wider audience through our EVO Series appliance,” said Tom Larson, Director of Sales, BCDVideo. “By combining our core strengths and expertise, we are able to deliver powerful and diverse solutions to the security marketplace.”

The EVO Series NVR is now available preloaded and validated with 16 OnSSI Ocularis PS licenses, expandable to 26, per unit, using any combination of analog-IP cameras. The first model includes 16 analog ports for hybrid appliances and the second model is capable of managing up to 26 IP video streams. These appliances are protected by a five-year worldwide HP on-site warranty. Ocularis PS is a full featured VMS with PSIM functionality including centralized management of physical security, content analytics and other systems at multiple sites. The solutions are easily scalable to any size and includes Ocularis Web and Mobile clients to provide remote monitoring, camera control and playback of up to 16 video streams in real-time, at full frame rates, over limited bandwidth.
