Arecont Vision’s new MegaVertical helps users and integrators identify and replicate how network megapixel video camera solutions are being used successfully.
MegaVertical program targets the big box retail, healthcare, education and municipal surveillance

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, announces the new MegaVertical initiative to help users and integrators identify and replicate how network megapixel video camera solutions are being used successfully around the world. Introduced at ISC West, the MegaVertical program included sales presentations, case studies, video clips and support materials targeting the big box retail, healthcare, education and municipal surveillance.

Arecont Vision megapixel cameras are currently deployed in a wide range of video surveillance solutions for security, manufacturing and personnel management around the world. The new MegaVertical program reflects a focussed effort to share information on how megapixel cameras can vastly improve image quality, boost system functionality and minimize costs in a variety of applications.

"Megapixel imaging solutions offer numerous benefits for virtually any video surveillance application and can actually cost less than conventional IP or analog cameras while providing superior performance and functionality," said Scott Schafer, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Arecont Vision. "Our MegaVertical initiative will help us clearly define the real value and measurable return on investment of megapixel systems based on actual installations and user experiences. We will be sharing this information with our reseller partners so they can apply the lessons learned by early adopters of megapixel technology to help new customers maximize the effectiveness of megapixel video systems."

The Arecont Vision website is being enhanced to support the MegaVertical initiative with information on megapixel camera installations in various vertical markets. Arecont Vision has also developed a catalogue of written case studies to illustrate the success of megapixel video in serving various markets. The company is currently in the process of producing video case studies to supplement the documentation of successful megapixel camera system installations.

Arecont Vision's complete line of cameras range in image resolution from 1.3 to 20 megapixels, including camera models providing advanced capabilities such as dual sensor day/night and panoramic viewing. Compact JPEG and compact H.264 cameras lead the price/performance curve. The Arecont Vision line also includes the MegaDome® Series of allin-one dome cameras and the MegaView™ line of all-in-one Day/Night/IR H.264 megapixel cameras enclosed in IP-66 and vandal-resistant bullet-style housings.
