Glassgate 300 offers high security with barriers up to five feet high

Smarter Security, provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, recently announced the availability of Fastlane® Glassgate 300. Among barrier turnstiles, Glassgate 300 pushes the design edge with an unprecedented openness but also offers high security with barriers up to five feet high. The IP-enabled optical turnstile will make its debut in booth no. 1705 at ASIS International’s Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Chicago next week.

“Fastlane Glassgate® 200 ushered in a new era of design six years ago and with Glassgate 300, we are driving the optical turnstile industry forward once again,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “With the security threats present in 2013, our customers are increasingly seeking the deterrence and delay benefits that come with barrier models, but Class A buildings still want an openness and elegance for their lobbies. We are excited to offer Glassgate 300 which meets these two needs exceedingly well.”

Glassgate 300 from Smarter Security is unlike any other Fastlane model or any competing turnstile in that it has a minimal pedestal frame without ends. Combined with glass side panels and swinging glass barriers, Glassgate 300 maximizes the visual impact of the lobby. Barriers are offered in three heights, from pedestal-height up to five feet. Barriers swing open quickly in the direction of an authorized user’s path to allow up to sixty people to enter per minute, a rate needed for high-traffic buildings and unequaled in the industry. Glassgate 300 also features Fastlane Connect which connects the turnstiles via TCP/IP and allows them to be managed from a web browser and diagnosed or updated remotely from anywhere around the world.

Smarter Security will showcase Glassgate 300 during ASIS 2013 in the front row of the expo in booth 1705. The company will also demonstrate the ease of Connect as never before as, for the first time, all security turnstiles in its booth will have IP connectivity and be controllable from a Web browser.
