SightLogix® President and CEO John Romanowich will moderate the Security Industry Association's (SIA) CFATS online town hall meeting on January 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The educational webcast will offer best practices for companies and organizations involved in security at high-risk chemical facilities tasked to meet the government's Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) requirements.

"The CFATS regulations provide Risk-Based Performance Standards to reduce vulnerability and manage risk around chemical facilities but they do not prescribe methodologies," said Mr. Romanowich. "The SIA CFATS presentation was designed specifically to educate the audience with best practices for implementing efficient protective measures. I am excited to be moderating this distinguished panel of experts."

In addition to Mr. Romanowich, other panel speakers include Sue Armstrong, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Gregory Eatmon, Global Security Manager, Baker Hughes, one of the world's largest oilfield services company with 34,000 employees and operations in over 90 countries; and Clyde Miller, Director of Corporate Security, BASF, the world's largest chemical company with over 100,000 employees.

Mr. Romanowich, who is Chair of SIA's CFATS Work Group, is the President and CEO of SightLogix, a manufacturer of intelligent video surveillance systems. He has held management positions in video technologies with Intel, IBM and the Sarnoff Corporation, and co-founded Pyramid Vision Technologies, a pioneer in intelligent video surveillance acquired by L3 Communications.
