Alcatraz AI, developer of secure autonomous access control, announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISO 27001:2013 certification is an international standard designed to help create a robust ISMS that helps ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive company and customer information.

“The Alcatraz team is proud to have achieved ISO 27001 certification as it validates our commitment to safeguarding the sensitive information involved in developing and delivering autonomous access control,” said Alcatraz Founder and CEO Vince Gaydarzhiev. “Our customers and partners can rest assured that our processes not only meet the highest international standards for information security, but it’s our mission to exceed them.”

Physical access control solution

Alcatraz offers secure physical access control solution called the Rock, that works with any access control system

A-lign, an independent, third-party auditor accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to perform ISMS 27001 certifications, has certified that Alcatraz has the proper technical controls and formalized IT security policies and procedures in place to protect it from unauthorized access or compromise. Certification also means that the Alcatraz IT team is knowledgeable in the best practices necessary to maintain compliance with the ISO 27001 standards.

Alcatraz offers a touchless and secure physical access control solution - called the Rock - that works with any access control system. It replaces or augments badging as a credential with facial recognition, 3D sensing, and artificial intelligence to enable highly secure and frictionless entry into physical locations. The Rock uses machine learning for increased security and accurate tailgating detection, while intelligently enrolling employees as they are badging in, which eliminates the headaches associated with traditional onboarding.

Mask detection mode

A recently-added feature provides a mask detection mode - the Mask Enforcer - to help businesses comply with government-mandated facemasks. A number of renowned system integrators and security organizations - including Johnson Controls, PSA Security Network, SAGE Integration, and TRL Systems - have incorporated the Alcatraz Rock into their solutions portfolio.
