HID Global anticipates that the project will result in the assembly and delivery of approximately 450 backpacks
The Mission 500 backpack-building project takes place on the first day of ISC West

HID Global®, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, recently announced it will be sponsoring two events at the ISC West conference in April to support Mission 500, the security industry’s initiative to serve the needs of children and communities in crisis through partnership with the World Vision Christian humanitarian organization.

“At HID Global, we have been strong supporters of Mission 500 since its inception, and our continued dedication to this organization reflects our deep commitment to sharing our success with the many communities around the world where we operate, and to make a difference in young people's lives,” said Denis Hébert, HID Global President and CEO. “At ISC West, we are very happy to be sponsoring a Mission 500-facilitated backpack-building project to help needy students, and a 5K run to raise money that will be used to feed, educate, clothe and provide healthcare for children in crisis, worldwide.”

The Mission 500 backpack-building project is open to volunteer participation and takes place on the first day of ISC West, April 2, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the visitor registration area at the Las Vegas Convention Center. HID Global anticipates that the project will result in the assembly and delivery of approximately 450 backpacks. HID Global will also be helping to sponsor a 5K run/2K walk on the second day of the conference, from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Runners may register for a nominal $30 fee, and all net proceeds raised will go to charity.

“We are very appreciative of HID Global’s long-time support, and for sponsoring these projects at ISC West,” said George Fletcher, advisory board member with Mission 500. “The security industry has been extraordinarily generous through the Mission 500 program, providing a sustained flow of food, clothing and education to needy children around the world. The ISC West projects provide additional opportunities for HID Global and other supporters to help with this important work.”
