Security Partners Expands Its Top Management Team With New Appointments

Schott will oversee aspects of IT in company’s 3 central stations and Ipson will manage day-to-day at nationwide monitoring stations

With more than 40 years of combined industry experience, Steve Ipson and Bob Schott are joining the Security Partners team as Vice President of Operations and Director of Information Technology, respectively. Schott will oversee all aspects of IT in the company’s three central stations and ensure complete redundancy across all platforms, while Ipson will manage the day-to-day at the nationwide monitoring stations ranging from technology, to process and people.

In the past year, Security Partners, headquartered in Lancaster, Pa., finalized major acquisitions of central stations in Anaheim, Ca. and San Antonio, Tx. Now, with a coast-to-coast security presence, Schott’s newly-created position is to ensure all stations are performing at peak performance and are fully intertwined. Schott will also focus on process refinement, business continuity, disaster recovery and managing any new acquired stations.

“Bob is taking on no small task,” said Mike Bodnar, president of Security Partners, “but is well-prepared for the position. He will be responsible for critical decision-making pertaining to technology, the connectivity between our three centers, IT staffing and our continued readiness for the future.”

Prior to Security Partners, Schott focused on integrating acquisitions for IASG involving millions of customers. IASG was purchased by Protection One/CMS Monitoring in 2007, and Schott became in charge of IT regarding central station datacenter operations. Since then, Schott has spearheaded disaster recovery process to ensure business continuity across locations.

Ipson spent 31 years at Diebold Inc., a global leader in providing integrated self-service security systems and services. Most notably, during his time at the Ohio-based company, Ipson held the roles of Director of Monitoring Services and Director of the Advanced Dealer Development.
