  • Suprema showcases AI-powered access control, expanding reach in Middle East at Intersec 2026.
  • BioStation 3 Max delivers ultra-fast AI facial authentication, ideal for high-security environments.
  • BioStar Air enables scalable cloud-native biometric access, boosting trust in Gulf region.

Suprema, recognized for its AI-powered security and access control solutions, made a significant impression at Intersec 2026 by unveiling its latest advancements in AI-driven access control hardware. The company's dual-platform approach, catering to both on-premise and cloud-based access management, is expected to expedite its expansion across the Middle East and neighboring regions.

At the Intersec event, Suprema presented its new range of AI-enhanced access control devices, which are engineered to enhance performance, accuracy, and deployment flexibility on a large scale.

AI-Based Facial Authentication

The BioStation 3 Max, building on the success of Suprema's previous model, has been designed for environments requiring high security and handling heavy traffic. This terminal comes with an upgraded neural processing engine, which ensures swift and precise facial authentication using AI, even under challenging conditions. With its large touchscreen and VoIP intercom integration, it is suitable for verification processes at critical entry points such as corporate offices, data centers, and manufacturing sites.

The BioStation 3 Max now serves as Suprema's premier facial authentication product, succeeding the FaceStation F2. It introduces the convenient Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature, a much-demanded addition by Middle Eastern clients, simplifying installations and cutting costs related to infrastructure and deployment.

Reliable Ticket Authentication

The XPass Q2 ensures swift and dependable ticket verification for events, stadiums, and public areas

Another product debuting was the XPass Q2, an intelligent QR reader that accommodates various RFID card types and formats. It is primarily aimed at fast-tracking access in high-traffic venues, where QR codes are used for visitor authentication, thus alleviating congestion at entry points.

Additionally, the XPass Q2 ensures swift and dependable ticket verification for events, stadiums, and public areas, performing rapid checks to minimize delays during peak times. Its durable and compact design supports quick deployment and consistent performance in demanding settings.

High-Traffic Environments

For the first time, Suprema showcased two comprehensive access control platforms intended to unlock the full potential of its biometric technology.

Scheduled for a 2026 launch, these platforms include BioStar X, an all-encompassing on-premise solution, and BioStar Air, a cloud-native platform ideal for distributed sites. Both options support the same biometric, RFID, and mobile-ready hardware, allowing clients the flexibility to choose the model that best meets their specific operational, regulatory, and IT requirements.

Unified Monitoring Console

Enhanced by AI, the system provides advanced video intelligence and automation

BioStar X integrates access control, video surveillance, and additional integration features into one system. It is adaptable for both small and large sites, delivering high performance when paired with Suprema's advanced biometric readers.

Its unified monitoring console offers real-time access event and video stream visibility using interactive maps, which enhances incident response and boosts daily operational effectiveness. Enhanced by AI, the system provides advanced video intelligence and automation, capable of detecting falls, tailgating, and intrusions.

Biometric Access Control

BioStar Air, being a cloud-native access control platform, seamlessly connects Suprema's pioneer-edge biometric solutions to the cloud, eliminating the dependency on on-premise servers.

New readers can be added, regardless of the location, merely by connecting a network cable. For customers in the Gulf region, BioStar Air supports cloud-based time and attendance systems by integrating them with biometric access control. It also offers secure mobile credentials as part of the standard package, free of per-user licensing fees, making scalability cost-effective.

Preventing Financial Crime

Suprema also introduced the Q-Vision Pro, an AI-powered video analytics module aimed at preventing financial crime.

“We introduced our latest technologies at Intersec because the Middle East consistently leads the adoption of biometrics, AI, and mobile access,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema Inc. “Those trends align directly with Suprema’s strengths, making this region a natural showcase for where access control is heading next.”

Show full press release

Suprema, a pioneer in AI-powered access control and security solutions, showcased its latest innovations in AI-powered access control hardware and a clear dual-platform strategy for on premise and cloud access management solutions at Intersec 2026. Suprema is already a pioneer in the Middle East and these innovations are aimed at accelerating the company’s expansion here and in neighboring regions.

Suprema’s Intersec booth highlighted a new generation of AI-enhanced access control hardware, introducing devices designed to push performance, accuracy, and deployment flexibility at scale.

AI-based facial authentication

BioStation 3 Max builds on the success of BioStation 3, Suprema’s fastest-selling biometric terminal to date. Designed for high-security, high-traffic environments, BioStation 3 Max features an enhanced neural processing engine that delivers ultra-fast, highly accurate AI-based facial authentication, even in demanding conditions. With a large touchscreen display and integrated VoIP intercom, BioStation 3 Max is ideal for verification workflows at sensitive entry points such as corporate headquarters, data centers, and sensitive manufacturing facilities.

BioStation 3 Max becomes Suprema’s new flagship facial authentication terminal, replacing FaceStation F2. It also introduces Power over Ethernet (PoE), one of the most frequently requested features from customers in the Middle East, simplifying installation while reducing infrastructure and deployment costs.

Reliable ticket authentication

XPass Q2 is an intelligent QR reader that also supports a wide range of RFID card types and formats. It was designed to address two primary use cases: First, XPass Q2 accelerates access in high-traffic facilities where visitors authenticate using QR codes, helping reduce congestion at entry points.

Second, it enables fast and reliable ticket authentication for venues such as events, stadiums, and public facilities. Built for speed, XPass Q2 performs rapid authentication to minimize bottlenecks, even during peak entry times. Its compact design allows for quick deployment, while its rugged construction ensures reliable operation in demanding, high-traffic environments.

High-traffic environments

For the first time at Intersec, Suprema previewed two complete access control platforms designed to fully lock the power of its biometric technology. These are planned for official launch in the first half of 2026.

BioStar X delivers a unified, on-premise solution. BioStar Air is a cloud-native platform perfect for distributed sites. Both platforms support the same biometric, RFID, and mobile-ready hardware, allowing customers to choose the deployment model that best fits their operational, regulatory, and IT requirements, without compromise.

Unified monitoring console

BioStar X is Suprema’s unified security platform, combining access control, video surveillance, and extensive integration capabilities within a single system. It is designed to scale from small sites to large while consistently delivering a high-performance user experience when paired with Suprema’s advanced biometric readers.

A unified monitoring console provides real-time visibility into access events and video streams through interactive maps, accelerating incident response and improving day-to-day operational efficiency. AI-based enhancements enable advanced video intelligence and automation, with the ability to detect fall incidents, tailgating, and intrusion.

Biometric access control

BioStar Air is a fully cloud-native access control platform that connects Suprema’s world-pioneer biometric technology directly to the cloud. There are no on-prem servers to deploy or maintain, and adding new readers, even at different locations, is as simple as plugging in a network cable.

For customers in the Gulf region, BioStar Air stands out in two key ways. It increases trust in cloud-based time and attendance systems by seamlessly connecting them to biometric access control. In addition, BioStar Air includes secure mobile credentials as a standard feature, with no per-user licensing fees, making it easy to scale access without hidden costs.

Preventing financial crime

Suprema also highlighted Q-Vision Pro, a video analytics AI module designed to help prevent financial crime.
