Bosch’s Security Solutions Installed At Mexican Bank Banco Del Bajío

Mexican bank Banco del Bajío has 52 branches in 21 cities serving over 47,000 customers. Banco del Bajío is a niche financial institution that focuses on SMEs, agribusiness and commercial banking. In the last five years, Banco del Bajío opened 139 new subsidiaries, creating a total network of 203 offices, present in 58 cities and metropolitan areas of 24 states. Nowadays, the bank is focused on expanding its presence in the southern region of Mexico, in order to cover the entire national surface in the next years.

Business Objective

An important objective was the integration of diverse systems which allow a direct operation between all subsidiaries, business offices and company buildings. At the same time it was necessary to implement high technology mechanisms that facilitate the integration of complete portfolios.

Solution

The installed solution includes video surveillance, fire direction, access control, and intrusion alarm systems. All solutions were centralized and are controlled by multiple units which are managed by the security department.

It was decided to install an integral solution supported by a reliable and powerful platform which comprehends features for intrusion, fire and access. The Bosch G Series Panel D9412GV2 was considered ideal for the bank's demands as it covers both Fire and Intrusion detectors.

In addition, a complete video surveillance system with Dinion day and night cameras like the NWD 495, VDN-495, PTZ cameras from the VG4 series, combined with extreme cameras with infrared lighting were installed. These components are managed by different monitoring centers with D6600 panels. A redundant recording platform iSCSI, a VIDOS management system. VIDOS and an Archive Player were also implemented. The access control system comprehends ARD-R10 readers. These components are managed by different monitoring sites and controlled by D6600 panels.

Regarding regional offices, high technology fire equipment like the FPA-5000 were installed which ensures an early warning system in case of fire.

Result

All inside and outside areas of Banco del Bajío are under video surveillance which ensures a high security level. Installed cameras have day and night vision and it is thus possible to cover all areas, including the most critical points. The reliability provided by the central equipment and its numerous and smart options allow the interaction with equipment which was produced by other manufacturers. The provided solution enhances a functioning integration of all system components and it avoids unpleasant false alarms which assure a safe and pleasant work environment, both for the bank's employees and its clients.
