The Monitoring Association (TMA) has appointed Chris Mahoney, MBA, MS, as the new Director of Certification.
Mahoney will spearhead the advancement of TMA's certification portfolio, which includes the Five Diamond, FirstNet, and IQ programs. His role involves developing new credentialing opportunities aimed at improving workforce development and supporting professional growth within the monitoring and response industry.
Experience in Program Development
Mahoney brings a wealth of experience, having over ten years in certification, education, and program management. Previously, he held the position of Senior Manager of Program Development at the National Apartment Association, where he managed credentialing and training programs for over 10,000 professionals annually. His achievements include launching micro-credential programs, managing exam development, and supporting accreditation initiatives.

Before his tenure at the National Apartment Association, Mahoney was the Director of Career and Program Development for the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando.
