Nortek Security & Control LLC (NSC), a global supplier of security, home control, and wellness technology products and solutions, has introduced a Technician Certification Training Program. The program offers pre-scheduled distributor training events, on-site education events, and ongoing training webinars for installing dealers, technicians and system integrators throughout 2018.
“After participating in a training class, I can confidently say the program up-leveled my product and installation knowledge,” says Mike Fior of Schuler Security. “Outside of simply learning about fast installation tips and troubleshooting suggestions, I left the class with a newfound excitement for customer communication and retention.”
Technician Training Program
The program consists of five training modules that cover product overview, basic installation, basic programming, troubleshooting, product partnerships, and certification exam.After completing these modules, participants are able to install, program and troubleshoot effectively and more efficiently
These modules include: GC2 Certified Technician Module, GC3 Certified Technician Module, 2GIG Vario Technician Module, E3 Certified Technician Module, and the Linear ProControl Technician Module.
After completing these modules, participants are able to install, program and troubleshoot effectively and more efficiently, which lends to an increase in installations over time as well as overall revenue.
Diploma Certification

All technicians that complete the program will receive a certification diploma, custom merchandise, and a certified Tech ID card. Nortek Security & Control is now accepting applications for the Technician Certificate Training Program and currently offers free webinars providing users with the flexibility and convenience to train online with a live certified trainer.
