HackerOne has joined forces with Anthropic's Project Glasswing, enhancing its security measures by applying advanced artificial intelligence techniques. As a pioneer in Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), HackerOne aims to leverage the capabilities of Anthropic's controlled-access program, Claude Mythos 5, to elevate cyber defenses on a large scale.
In line with the objectives of Project Glasswing, HackerOne is set to use Claude Mythos to fortify its cybersecurity defenses. The collaboration involves evaluating the AI system in various scenarios, such as confirming exploitability, prioritizing findings based on business impact, and creating developer-ready solutions that seamlessly integrate into existing engineering workflows.
Different Perspectives on a Shared Goal
Kara Sprague, CEO of HackerOne, highlighted the importance of utilizing advanced AI to outpace cybercriminals. "Attackers are already using frontier AI to find and weaponize vulnerabilities faster than defenders can respond. The only viable answer is for defenders to operate on better models, faster. HackerOne's mission is to empower the world to build a safer internet. Anthropic's is safer software at scale. Same goal, different vantage point. Project Glasswing lets us put the most capable model available to work on our infrastructure and share what we learn across the full CTEM workflow," she said.
Advancing Security Innovation
Aggarwal expressed excitement about utilizing Claude Mythos to bolster internal security systems
Nidhi Aggarwal, HackerOne's Chief Product Officer, emphasized the role of innovation in building resilient software. "Building more resilient software requires continuous innovation in how we identify, understand, and remediate risk," she stated.
Aggarwal expressed excitement about utilizing Claude Mythos to bolster internal security systems and exploring the potential of frontier AI in enhancing every stage of the CTEM process, from discovery to remediation. This initiative promises to contribute valuable insights to the security sector's progress towards continuous cyber defense.
Scope of Project Glasswing
HackerOne's involvement with Project Glasswing focuses exclusively on improving its own security infrastructure and solutions, ensuring that Claude Mythos 5 is not utilized for customer programs or any external agentic purposes. Through this strategic collaboration, HackerOne seeks to advance its defense capabilities while sharing its findings to benefit the broader security community.
