The X-Panel 4386a FPI boasts a dual-side readout design, achieving up to 15 fps in full resolution, 45 fps in 3x3 binning mode, and 90 fps in 6x6 binning mode. These frame rates surpass those of many other large-area detectors on the market. Incorporating a-Si TFT technology, the panel features a 140 μm pixel size within a matrix of 3072 x 6144, and it supports 10G BASE-T connectivity for swift data transfer.

The detector is tailored for high-energy X-ray tube applications, with options for DRZ-Plus and Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillators. It is designed for large-area imaging with high-speed acquisition needs, including applications in:

  • Industrial CT and digital radiography (DR) systems
  • Automotive inspections, particularly for large assemblies and battery systems
  • Aerospace evaluations of composite structures like fuselage and wing sections
  • Examinations of heavy castings and large industrial parts

Available globally, the series offers manufacturing options from both the EU and China, ensuring flexible supply and localized support. Application testing and system integration support are provided through demo units and technical services.

Detection Technology plans to begin delivering the X-Panel 4386 at the end of 2026, while shipments of the X-Panel 43108 have already commenced. The company will showcase the X-Panel XL line, along with other flat panel and line scan X-ray detectors, at ECNDT 2026, the European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing.
