Interlogix, a leader in security and life safety solutions for residential and commercial enterprises, releases its next generation Simon XTi, an intuitive, self-contained system that provides life safety and comfort management. Leveraging image sensor technology, the Simon XTi now provides added protection for users with visual verification of alarms. Interlogix is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Combining the powerful security of Simon XT and the simple, at-a-glance experience of the Two-Way Talking Touch Screen, the Simon XTi is easy to install and operate, offering 40 zones of life safety protection. It also features convenient connectivity with Z-Wave devices, and can be enhanced with Alarm.com interactive services for remote viewing and control of lights, thermostats and other devices.

“We’re evolving our popular Simon and Touch Screen solutions to meet the needs of today’s families and small business owners,” said Bob Haskins, president, Interlogix. “Simon XTi’s icon-driven interface provides effortless system navigation and viewing of status notifications. The panel is compact with a simple design, and can be customised with interchangeable faceplates to complement a customer’s personal taste and décor.”

Unique to Simon XTi, users can also view pictures captured by the new Interlogix Image Sensor, powered by Alarm.com. An innovative advancement, the Image Sensor combines a PIR motion sensor, an integrated still camera, wireless communication and Alarm.com Interactive Services.

“Pictures captured from the Image Sensor when motion is detected, or when users want to check in on their property, can be viewed directly on the Simon XTi touch screen. They can also be viewed on a smart phone or online, providing both protection and convenience,” stated Paul Van Der Zanden, general manager, Intrusion, Interlogix.
