BCDVideo released an 84TB model of their Nova Series video recording storage platform. This new capability allows BCDVideo’s BCD380V8-M system to manage up to 73TB of RAID 5 useable internal video storage —a 150% capacity increase— while still only using two rack spaces.

The BCDVideo Nova Series is manufactured specifically for Enterprise IP Video Surveillance applications. The Nova Series is our newest-generation platform utilizing 6G SAS technology which enables more high-megapixel cameras per system than traditional SATA-based servers.

BCDVideo’s recorders are designed with Intel® Xeon® processors, offering superior system performance.

This video recording platform is built with scalability, reliability, and longevity in mind.

“Having the extra capacity will lower the overall cost to the integrator. This solution also allows the majority of storage projects to be handled in a single recording unit, where previously two were needed to handle the video storage requirements. With the high bandwidth that our system has always been able to ingest, we are able, for instance, to run one hundred 1080P cameras for 60 days with plenty of room to spare,” noted Tom Larson, BCDVideo’s Director of Sales and Engineering.

BCDVideo plans to release additional models with higher capacity prior to the ASIS International event at the end of September.

BCDVideo is a global manufacturer of purpose-built IP Recording Systems. As HP’s Authorized Global OEM IP Video Partner, BCDVideo delivers a proven, reliable solution built to perform for the duration and beyond of IP video storage and access control projects, all backed by a project-performance guarantee.

With a worldwide footprint of successful installations, the company prides itself on providing first-rate customer service, delivery, and support. We back our products with lifetime telephone support and an unprecedented, worldwide five-year global on-site warranty.
