Atos and Softwire have been entrusted with a seven-year contract valued at £63 million to enhance digital development services for the UK's electoral infrastructure.
Selected by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), Atos, known for AI-driven digital transformation, and technology transformation experts Softwire will jointly advance the Digital Elections Services (DES) portfolio.

The collaboration enables the MHCLG Elections team to deliver commitments and improve servicesThe collaboration aims to assist the MHCLG Elections team in fulfilling the government’s manifesto commitments while enhancing existing products and services. Full multi-disciplinary teams and specialized personnel will be provided to support existing operations over short to medium periods.
Expertise in delivery implementation, product management, discovery, user research, business analysis, service design, development, testing, and technical architecture will be contributed.
