The center is undergoing significant transformation into a modern, sustainable facility drawing on Atos' extensive engineering expertise.

The refurbishment of the Sovereign Delivery Center aims to support the increasing demand for services such as agentic automation, data hosting, and IT resilience.
These services are crucial for public sector entities, defense operations, and businesses involved in essential national infrastructure.
Into the Field with Next Tech Girls
Atos is recruiting IT Service Desk Apprentices with Next Tech GirlsIn collaboration with Next Tech Girls, Atos is recruiting IT Service Desk Apprentices. These apprentices will serve as First Line Support Desk Agents, responsible for client interaction, incident logging, troubleshooting, escalation, and customer service.
Concurrently, they will dedicate 20% of their time to obtaining a Level 3 Qualification.
Broadening Skills Across Technology Domains
The new recruits are not limited to a single technology focus. Instead, they will gain practical experience across multiple disciplines, including AI, cloud services, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital services.
This comprehensive approach is designed to enable apprentices to build resilient careers that integrate rather than compete with technological advancements.

Michael Herron, Head of Atos UK&I, emphasized the dual focus on technical and soft skills in preparing apprentices for an AI-driven workplace.

The educational aspect of the apprenticeship is partnered with Solihull College & University Center, providing classroom-based education. Nancy Buckley, Vice Principal, Business Growth, Skills, and Partnerships at Solihull College & University Center, remarked on the program's strength, noting, “We are proud to partner with Atos to equip apprentices with the skills, confidence, and technical experience needed to thrive in a rapidly changing digital landscape.”

According to Cllr Heather Delaney, Cabinet Member for Economy, Business & Skills at Solihull Council, Atos' decision to invest in the borough is a welcomed development.

The Sovereign Delivery Center is being transformed into a state-of-the-art, sustainably built center that leverages Atos’ 30 years of engineering heritage to provide an AI-enabled suite of sovereign offerings.
It addresses the growing demand for UK-based IT delivery, agentic automation, data hosting and resiliency for public sector, defense and critical national infrastructure businesses.
Point of contacts
With the support of Next Tech Girls, Atos is hiring IT Service Desk Apprentices to support clients with nationwide operations.
The apprentices will work as First Line Support Desk Agents, with responsibilities including acting as the first point of contact for clients, incident logging, troubleshooting, escalation and customer service, while completing a Level 3 Qualification for 20% of their time.
