Amthal has successfully completed a comprehensive security upgrade at The Maltings Shopping Center, enhancing the site's surveillance and management systems. This upgrade builds on a collaborative relationship spanning over thirty years.
Amthal had been responsible for maintaining the security system at The Maltings since taking over complete management in 2017, following their support that began in 2013. This long-term partnership paved the way for a seamless transition to a new, advanced system.
Integration with Modern Technology
The upgraded security solution features 39 advanced Dahua cameras, including PTZ, 180-degree, and AI-powered people-counting models. This setup ensures comprehensive coverage across all seven entrances and parking facilities.
Enhanced vehicle access control is achieved through the integration of automatic number plate recognition with the barrier system, while people-counting technology now provides reliable visitor metrics to track activity fluctuations.
The system is further bolstered by active deterrents and clear signage, while EMCS Sentry software continuously monitors hardware performance and camera availability. Additionally, secure on-site storage maintains direct control of all data within the center.

Amthal coordinated with Dahua, management, and security personnel to ensure installations occurred without disrupting daily operations, even while the center remained open.
