BlackFog has launched its latest solution, ADX Vision, to enhance endpoint security through AI-based anti data exfiltration (ADX) technology.
This pioneering software aims to provide organizations with the necessary visibility and control to securely manage AI interactions. Functioning directly on devices, it identifies unapproved AI activities, halts unauthorized data transfers in real-time, and automatically enforces governance policies, all while maintaining productivity.
Increased Regulatory Scrutiny
The introduction of ADX Vision comes amid a surge in AI tool adoption by organizations seeking innovation and employees using large language models (LLMs) to enhance productivity.
However, the use of unauthorized AI applications has opened new pathways for data exfiltration
However, the use of unauthorized AI applications has opened new pathways for data exfiltration, endangering companies' intellectual property and facing heightened regulatory oversight. As AI systems gather and process enterprise data outside traditional security protocols, "shadow AI" has emerged as a significant yet underrecognized cause of data loss.
Potential Data Privacy Risks
A survey conducted by BlackFog involving 2,000 employees illustrates the extent of these risks. Almost half (49%) of the participants admitted to using AI tools at work without their employer's authorization. Furthermore, the research indicates that only 53% of employees are aware of how AI tools manage their data, while 71% believe that the productivity enhancements from unsanctioned AI tools exceed potential data privacy threats.
Dr. Darren Williams, CEO and Founder of BlackFog, emphasized, “As AI adoption accelerates, so does the risk of data loss through unmonitored tools. This research highlights the extent of that risk and the critical need for organizations to protect the data flowing through AI systems.”
Preventing Data Exfiltration
Dr. Williams added, “Preventing data exfiltration has been at the core of our mission from day one, and we’ve consistently adapted our technology to stay ahead of emerging threats. ADX Vision is the next step in that journey, offering unmatched visibility into shadow AI activity so organizations can protect their data with confidence.”
With ADX Vision, organizations gain consolidated insights across their networks, ensuring sensitive data remains safe. Currently available for Windows, BlackFog plans to extend support to macOS and Linux by early 2026.
